Dehradun: Two persons were murdered while another was shot at in separate incidents during the past 24 hours in the district, police today said.
In the first incident, a salesman at a liquor shop in Patel Nagar area identified as Anil Kumar Jaiswal was stabbed to death last night, they said.
In another incident, Mehboob (30), a scrap dealer, was reportedly beheaded with a sharp-edged weapon in his shop at Badwala area of the district, they said adding an FIR has been lodged by his brother.
Meanwhile, Ishhak Ansari, a shopkeeper, was allegedly shot by unidentified gunmen in the same Patel Nagar area. He was admitted to a hospital where his condition is said to be serious, police said.
Cases have been registered and investigations are on in all of them, they added.
