1 killed, 18 hurt in mishap in Medninagar

Medninagar: One labourer was killed and 18 others including seven women were injured when the truck they were travelling overturned near a road bridge in Harihargunj in Palamu district today.

Police said the incident took place when the driver lost control over the vehicle. Bindu Oraon, a resident of Garwah district, was kiled on the spot.

All the injured were rushed to Medninagar sadar hospital, where they were admitted, sources said adding that the condition of six injured was stated to be critical.

The labourers were returning home after harvesting in Sasaram in Bihar when the mishap occurred 70 kms away from the district headquarter.
