Dehra Dun: Two men disguising as Sadhus allegedly duped jewellery worth Rs two lakh from a teenaged boy in Dalanwala locality of the city, police said.

Ritesh, a ninth class student, was going for tuition last evening when he met the accused, who made him believe that they were sadhus having power to foresee his future, they said.

They duped the boy to handover his mother's jewellery to them saying his parents are going to die and he had to handover the jewellery if he wanted to save their lives, police said.

The incident came to light when Ritesh did not return home till night and his parents began searching for him. Later, his parents found him in an unconscious state outside a nearby temple, upon which the victim narrated the whole story.
