Real estate developer's house looted in Bangalore

Bangalore: Jewels and cash roughly estimated to be worth over Rs one crore was stolen from a residence of real estate developer in JP Nagar area of the locality today.

The family had a hired a servant who had been working with it for the past eight months and police suspect that the servant who had been missing since the discovery of the theft had committed the crime, police said.

Some members of the family were in Australia and were returning home today on being informed about the theft, Shankar Bidari, city police commissioner said.

The exact worth of the valuables stolen could be ascertained once the family was back, he said.
