Puducherry: Puducherry Chief Minister V. Vaithilingam today greeted the people on the eve of New Year.

In his new year greetings, the Chief Minister said that he wished that the whole of 2009 witnessed a total eradication of violence and poverty so that all sections of people would live in peace and enjoy prosperity and happiness.

His cabinet colleagues also greeted the people.

Convenor of Puducherry unit of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and former Chief Minster R. V. Janakiraman, PCC leader A. V. Subramaniam, and Member of Parliament M. Ramadoss also greeted the people.
