Dikshit greets people of Delhi on New Year eve

New Delhi: Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit today greeted the people on the eve of New Year and resolved to work with renewed vigour for all-round development of the capital city.

In her message, Dikshit expressed confidence that New Year would bring an era of prosperity, happiness, peace and harmony.

Earlier, participating in a prayer meeting at Rajghat in memory of the martyrs of Mumbai attack Dikshit appealed to the citizens to take a "strong resolve" against terrorism.

"We should take a strong resolve to defeat terrorism," she told reporters.

Asked about her New Year pledge, she said ensuring all-round development and expediting development projects in the capital will be the top most priority for her.

"We will work with renewed vigour in the New Year to ensure all-round development of the city," Dikshit, who led the Congress to power for the third consecutive term in the assembly election, said.
