Senior government pleader resigns
Wednesday, December 31, 2008 20:27 [IST]
Kochi: Senior Government Pleader, D Anil Kumar, today submitted his resignation to the government.

The government pleader handed over his resignation to the Advocate General C P Sudhakara Prasad, citing personal reasons for the decision.

The resignation letter has been forwarded to the law secretary.

Anil Kumar's resignation comes a day after the CPI-M state unit asked Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan, to drop three of his official advisers close to him.

IT adviser Joseph C Mathew, Inland Water Transport Adviser B R Menon and Anil Kumar, reportedly earned the party's wrath for allegedly "misleading" the Chief Minister on certain vital issues against the party line.
