Cold wave claims 2 more lives

Medininagar (Jharkhand): Two persons died in Palamau district today, where mercury plummeted to six degree Celsius, taking the death toll to six in the state this season.

Police said 50-year-old Ram Jalan Ram died of cold-related ailment at the Sadar Hospital here while one Pramila Devi (32) died at Chhatarpur.

Four persons had died due to severe cold conditions in the last fortnight in the same district.

In capital Ranchi and steel city Jamshedpur, the temperature went down to seven degree Celsius and nine degree Celsius respectively, a weather report said.
