New Delhi: Delhiites today got bit respite from the chilling cold as the minimum temperature was recorded 8.3 degree Celsius, one degree above the normal minimum temperature at this time of the season.
The season s lowest temperature was experienced on Friday when the minimum temperature plummeted to four degrees Celsius.
The chilling cold gripped the capital on Saturday too, prompting the Delhi Government issue advisories to schools not to have classes for students up to the eighth standard till Tuesday. The MCD also announced a week-long closure of its schools.
Yesterday, the minimum temperature rose to 8.1 degree Celsius while the maximum was recorded at 18 degree Celsius, Met department said.
There was light rain last night. The rainfall was recorded at 0.2 mm, the weatherman said.
This morning, a light cover of fog engulfed the capital.
The Met department said the maximum will hover around 18 degrees while the minimum temperature will remain around nine degree Celsius tomorrow. There may be mist and light fog in the morning.
