Kurukshetra: Police today arrested a woman of charges of murdering her one-and-a-half year old nephew.

Police solved murder mystery the infant boy in Bangado village within one day by pressing into service the dog squad and the team experts of the Forensic Lab of Madhuban (Karnal).

K V Ramana, SP Kurukshetra visited the village and supervised the investigation operation.

The aunt of the decased has been arrested on the charge of murder of the only son of her brother-in-law.

According to the Kurukshetra police, they got an informatiopn that a one and half year male baby Ajay, son of Amarjit Singh was missing since morning from his home in Bangado village, about 6 kms from here.

The police sniffer dogs which were pressed into service led to the house of Balkar Singh, real brother of Amarjeet Singh, where it searched a wooden box meant for storing woolen and other heavy clothes and found the body of Ajay who was wearing a jersey, pant and shoes.

The news of recovery of the dead body from the house of uncle-aunty of the deceased created a tremor of shock and terror among the villagers.
