Raipur: There would be no separate budget session of Chhattisgarh assembly and instead, the two-day session that began today would be extended and considered as the budget session, said a senior assembly official.
Devendra Varma, secretary, Chhattisgarh Assembly, told PTI that the present session would be considered as the budget session as it will not be adjourned sine die on January 9 but adjourned till February 2 and will re-commence on that day.
"Though the present two-day session was to be termed as oath-taking session, the business advisory committee of the House has decided to continue the session and not to adjourn it sine die after the second day of the session on January 9. With this, the January-February session would now be termed as the budget-session," Varma said.
