Tuesday, January 06, 2009 07:18 [IST]

Abohar: The Border Security Force (BSF) recovered nearly 14 kg of heroin worth millions of rupees in the international market from the Abohar sector of the India-Pakistan border Monday.

The drug consignment was concealed in packets, BSF officials said.

The consignment allegedly belonged to Pakistan based smugglers and had been dropped in the border area for their Indian contacts to pick it up, the officials added.

The heroin is worth over Rs.140 million in the international market.
