One killed by suspected Naxalites

Raipur: Suspected Naxalites have killed a person at Dudbeda village in Bijapur district, some 450 kilometers from here, police said today.

The deceased, identified as Madpatti Sampat, was killed by suspected Naxals here yesterday, Bijapur Superintendent of Police (SP) in-charge J S Watti told PTI.

"We received information that a person was killed and a police team was sent to the village this morning. We are awaiting the team's return for further details," Watti said.
