Wednesday, January 07, 2009 15:15 [IST]

Dehradun: Two police constables, who were allegedly blackmailing two college students after photographing them in a "compromising" position, have been arrested and dismissed from service, police sources said today.

The duo, identified as Sanjay Singh and Brij Mohan, were produced before District Judge Indira Ashish yesterday, who remanded them in judicial custody for 14 days.

The two police constables, who have been booked under the anti corruption law, have been dismissed from services, they said. The duo were allegedly blackmailing the students- a boy and a girl-- for the past few days after "compelling them to kiss each other and then photographing them with their mobile cameras," the sources said.

The consatbles allegedly also wanted to extort money from the two students, they alleged.
