Guna: Even though Congress has been holding itself back on the issue of its Prime Ministerial candidate in Lok Sabha poll, party General Secretary Digvijay Singh has said Rahul Gandhi is the future of the party.
"Rahul has the talent and he has already been projected as the country's (future) Prime Minister," Singh told reporters here yesterday.
The Amethi MP, also a General Secretary of the party, has already been referred to as a "star" by chief spokesman M Veerappa Moily and the "third pole" of the party after Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and party President Sonia Gandhi by senior leader Prithviraj Chavan.
Turning to Madhya Pradesh, the former CM said he himself and all other senior leaders in state Congress were responsible for the party's defeat in recent assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh.
