New Delhi: A pleasant and warmer morning greeted the Delhiites today with the minimum temperature settling at a comfortable 7.9 degrees Celsius.
The Met department predicted light shower later in the day which may bring down the minimum temperature further.
Yesterday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 5.6 degrees Celsius while the maximum was at 21.0 degrees.
The Met department said the maximum temperature will hover around 18 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature will be around nine degrees tomorrow.
There may be mist and light fog in the morning, the department said.
January this year has been warmer so far as compared to last year when the minimum temperature dropped below five degrees a number of times.
The season s lowest temperature was recorded on January 2 when the minimum temperature plummeted to four degrees. In 2008,the lowest temperature during the month was recorded on January two when the mercury dipped to 1.9 degrees.
