New Delhi: Delhiites woke up to a warmer morning today with the minimum temperature settling at 8.6 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal.
The low in the national capital was recorded at 7.9 degrees Celsius yesterday while the high was at 21.3 degrees C, which is normal at this time of the year.
The Met department said the maximum temperature will hover around 20 degrees Celsius while the minimum will be around seven degrees C tomorrow.
There may be fog in the morning and mainly clear sky throughout the day, the weathermen said.
January this year has been warmer so far as compared to last year when the minimum temperature dropped below five degrees a number of times.
The season's lowest temperature was recorded on January 2 when the minimum temperature plummeted to four degrees. In 2008, the lowest temperature during the month was recorded on January 2 when the mercury dipped to 1.9 degrees.
