Srinagar: Inspired by the dedication of their father in serving people of the state, two young Abdullahs -- Zamir, Zahir -- want to step into the shoes of Omar Abdullah as they feel politics is not that bad as is perceived to be and want to follow the family's footsteps.
Zamir, the 11-year-old younger son of Omar, aspires to become the Chief Minister. "I do aspire to become the Chief Minister one day but let my dad finish his term of serving people," says Zamir, as the family settles down to adjust to the new lifestyle.
The brothers may bask in public attention for the time being but their disciplinarian parents -- Omar and his wife, Payal -- have decided not to disrupt their studies and let them continue their schooling in Delhi.
Zamir and Zahir's parents have made it clear that the Ganderbal excursion was a one-time exception as they intend to keep the brothers away from the media glare as much as possible.
The Abdullahs are the only family in the country to have produced three Chief Ministers.
Both Zamir and Zahir are trying to adjust to the new way of life after their father took over the reins of the troubled state. The brothers are accustomed to the security cover that their father and grandfather Farooq Abdullah always have.
