Fast track recruitment process to be resumed in JK
Monday, January 12, 2009 12:00 [IST]

Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir government would soon resume the fast track recruitment process to provide employment avenues to the youth of the state, Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand has said.

Asserting that every effort would be made to achieve the targets set by the last government, he yesterday said the massive development programme launched across the state would be resumed by accelerating the work on pending projects and taking up new mega projects.

Stating that circumstances forced his party to leave the massive drive for recruitment half way during their last stint, he said the process of recruitment, which was left half way, would be resumed for engaging educated youth against the available vacancies.

Addressing a series of gatherings at Jourian, Khour, Pangali, Mirpur and Gigriyal during his maiden visit to his home constituency after taking charge in the recently formed coalition government, he pledged to safeguard the interests of all regions and communities of the state.

The Deputy Chief Minister said remote and far-off areas would continue to receive special attention in the development process and assured the people that the state would witness all round development and transformation.
