"The budget has been allotted for these devices by Government of India," said Sashastra Seema Bal DIG S Bandhophadhay over telephone from Ranikhet.

Besides CCTVs, 15 more Border Observation Posts are also being built along the 275 km-long Indo-Nepal border in Uttarakhand, taking the number of BOPs to 62.

"As a follow up to the Mumbai terrorist attack we are keeping extra vigilance on Indo-Nepal border and have introduced at least one identity requirement for people coming from Nepal," said the DIG.
