Harda (MP): Some former police officers have reportedly come under the scanner of CBI, probing the case of missing of a boy Durgesh Jat in which former Madhya Pradesh Minister and BJP MLA Kamal Patel's son is one of the accused.
The CBI is suspecting that the then officiating SP of Harda, Akilesh Jha, and Sub Divisional Officer of Police (SDOP), Abishek Rajan, had budged under the pressure of the then State Minister Patel, highly placed sources in the police department said.
The investigating agency had got some evidences that these police officers went to Patel's bunglow here on March 5, 2008 - the day Durgesh went missing after firing in a farm house in Harda and were there for nearly an hour, they added.
Durgesh had allegedly gone with Patel's son Sudeep to a farm house where firing took place after which he went missing and one of his friends Abhishek sustained bullet injury.
Also, the CBI has got hold of records of telephonic conversation between these police officers and Patel, sources said.
The CBI sleuths are firming up the details to quiz these police officers, sources said.
The investigations into Durgesh's missing were last year handed over to CBI following a Madhya Pradesh High Court order.
Durgesh's father had filed a habeas corpus petition alleging that the state police was not investigating his son's missing owing to the pressure from Patel.
