Fog hits flight operations at IGI

New Delhi: Flight operations at the IGI Airport come to standstill as a dense fog enveloped the area this morning.

The visibility dropped to a near zero with the runway visibility range (RVR) deteriorating to less than 50 metres as the fog suddenly enveloped the airport around six in the morning, airport sources said.

Due to the blanket of dense fog, all flight operations came to standstill affecting schedules of various airlines.

The fog is expected to lift by 9 am, the airport sources added.
