Four contract killers held in Lucknow

Lucknow: Four alleged contract killers against whom a dozen cases each of murder and extortion were pending have been arrested in the state capital.

On a tip off, police arrested Kamal Kishore Srivastava alias Tinku Kapala, Awneesh Tripathi, Vijay Singh Patel and Pawan Kumar Dubey from Indira Nagar area yesterday.

Three country-made pistols, a nine mm pistol and over two dozen live cartridges were recovered from their possession, police said today. Over a dozen cases each of murder and extortion were pending against these criminals.

Dubey and Tripathi were also carrying a cash reward of Rs 10,000 on their head, they said.

These criminals used to take contract for killing people, police claimed adding, they were trying to trace whereabouts of others members of the gang.
