Woman bludgeons husband to death
A woman bludgeoned her husband to death and committed suicide after he refused to accompany her for a walk, police said here on Wednesday.
Vimla (38), who the police said was mentally ill, killed her husband Ram Prakash (47) with a hammer at their house at Shahibabad on Tuesday night, police said.
The incident occurred barely a week after a man killed his five children before attacking his wife and attempting suicide in this satellite town of the national capital.
"Vimla hit her husband with hammer in a fit of rage after he refused to accompany her for a walk," a senior police official said.
She then committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling fan.
The couples three children were sleeping in the next room when the incident happened, police said.
A case has been registered and the bodies have been sent for autopsy, they said.
