Four members of a family have been quarantined after they were found to have Swine flu symptoms on their return from a foreign tour, official sources said here today.
The family of Chief Engineer with Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) J S Rathore yesterday returned from a 10-day tour to Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, the sources said.
They said that soon after their arrival, Rathore's nine-year-old son complained of cold and cough. When he was taken to a hospital, he was found to have Swine flu symptoms.
Later the entire family underwent a check up and were admitted to the hospital.
Officials of Integrated Surveillance Disease Control (ISDC) programme took the samples of the family and sent them to National Institute of Communicable diseases (NICD) in New Delhi for examination, they said.
The family has been kept in isolated wards, the officials said.
