PESHAWAR: A massive bomb killed more than 50 people in the Pakistani city of Peshawar on Wednesday, hospital and government officials said. One hospital doctor put the toll at 57.
"At least 57 people were killed and more than 150 wounded," Doctor Zafar Iqbal told AFP at the main government hospital in Peshawar.
Other doctors and government officials said more than 50 died. One intelligence official in Peshawar, the capital of Pakistan's Taliban-infested northwest, put the toll at 55.
