Gangtok: Vice President Hamid Ansari today arrived here on a three-day visit to Sikkim, his first since he assumed office.

He was received at Libing helipad by Governor B P Singh and Chief Minister Pawan Kumar Chamling.

The Vice President's cavalcade thereafter left for Raj Bhawan where he will put up during his maiden visit.

Ansari is scheduled to visit Lingdum Monastery, Cultural Village and Ban Jhakri falls during the day, officials said.
