WASHINGTON: David Coleman Headley, the Pakistan-born American arrested by the FBI for plotting an attack in India, is likely to be quizzed by a team of officials from the Intelligence Bureau (IB) and the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).
Headley, now in FBI custody in Chicago, had revealed that he was working at the behest of the Lashkar-e-Taiba and his target in India was `Rahul'. The Indian authorities are trying to ascertain the identity of Rahul, and a possible wider angle to the plot.
While the team has arrived in the US, neither the Indian officials nor their American counterparts have divulged much on its schedule. "We can neither confirm this (the interrogation of Headley) nor deny this," both the FBI and US department of justice sources said.
After the US announced his arrest last month, home minister P Chidambaram had said that intelligence agency officials from India would visit the US to get more details about the case from the FBI and also quiz Headley. PTI
