Gandhinagar: The CBI has set up dedicated phone lines to receive complaints of corruption by government officials on phone.

"The complainant need not come to the office for lodging complaint regarding any demand of money by public servant. The complainant can inform the CBI office by phone and if the complaint is found true prima facie, the CBI team will visit the complainant to get more details," CBI SP, Gandhinagar branch, Deepak Damor told PTI.

The numbers are: 9427553186 and 079-23233188 and 23233211.

"The identity of the complainant or informer will be kept confidential," Damor said.

He said this year, CBI has registered 19 cases in Gujarat which includes four trap cases, three disproportionate asset cases, nine cases of criminal misconduct and three preliminary inquiries.
