Lalit Modi has given a go-ahead to portray even the darkest secrets of his life in the forthcoming film based on his life titled Commissioner.
"Yes, there are several chapters on his life that he was initially hesitant about. I gave him time and asked him to sleep over it. I also told him to talk about them to me and not to the script writer. He thought a lot about it and finally said yes to it. He has signed on the script on Thursday," says the managing director of Percept, Shailendra Singh who's making the biopic on Lalit Modi.
The "dark secrets" of Lalit Modi is him getting arrested in the US. Lalit Modi was charged with and surprisingly pleaded guilty to drug possession, assault and kidnapping. The case was registered against him in 1985 while he was a student in Duke University, USA. He was sentenced to two years in prison and came back to India after being released on probation.
"He was also a single child and he went through a phase of depression as a teenager. He has decided that all that may be portrayed on screen," Singh added.
Modi and Singh has apparently met Shah Rukh who's still toying with the idea of playing the character.
