Supreme Court justice Markandey Katju on Friday advised the CBI not to waste time in catching ``small fries'' but net big fish like former Jharkhand chief minister Madhu Koda, who has allegedly swindled over Rs 4000 of public money.
"Bhai pakadna hai to badey machli kho pakdo, Madhu Koda chaar hazar karod! Chhote log ko pakad kar kyon unko barbaad kartey ho, (If you want to catch, catch the big fish. Why destroy small fries by arresting them?)," Katju said in a lighter vein during the hearing of a plea by Ganapathi Ramnath, an accused in the Rs450 crore bitumen scam.
