BAE delvers last Indian Hawk
BAE Systems has handed over the 24th UK built Indian Hawk aircraft to the Indian Air Force. This is the last aircraft delivered as per the contact. The aircraft safely landed the Air Force Station at Bidar on Friday after completing a 3,000 mile journey across Europe, Africa and the Middle East. The aircraft will be used for fast jet training for the IAF pilots
UAE participates in Global Investor Meet
State minister for large and medium industries Murugesh R Nirani met Mohamed Sultan Abedalla-al-Owasis, ambassador of UAE to India on Friday. The ambassador informed the minister that a UAE delegation will visit Karnataka to explore investments opportunities here. India is at the 3rd position in terms of foreign investments in UAE
Signature campaign
Starting Children's Day, November 14, Child Rights and You (CRY) is launching a nation-wide campaign to ask the government to amend the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act 2009. This campaign called Sabko Shiksha Samaan Shiksha will hold interactive events across 18 states to collect signatures from public. Signatures collected will be put together as a large book And will be submitted to president and the prime minister.


The Ramaiah Institute of Management Studies (RIMS) in coordination with the Voice for India is hosting a seminar on Project Green Voice, to inaugurate the innovative initiative to reduce the disposal of plastic carry bags. The seminar will be held at 11am on November 7 at the RIMS auditorium. Dr HC Sharatchandra, ex-chairman, KSPCB will be the chief guest for the event.


PES award ceremony on Sunday
The PES group of institutions has organised 23rd Distinction Award Ceremony on November 8 to felicitate nearly 2500 engineering students who have performed well in academics. A committee of faculties of the institution has selected students for the awards. One such important category is for students who have studied in Kannada medium till class 10 and got engineering seat in PES through CAT. The group is spending nearly Rs10 lakh for this purpose.
