ADB evolves action plan to fight corruption
Manila: An action plan to help Asian nations battle corruption was completed at a recent Asian Development Bank (ADB) meeting and will be offered to interested countries, the bank said.

BSNL to grab net phone market after ban ends
New Delhi: The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is gearing up to carve out a sizeable chunk of the huge Internet telephone market in the country once the government lifts its ban on the technology two years ahead of schedule, in April 2002. The ban had been slated to end in 2004.
Case against Mascarenhas under CBI scrutiny
New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Sunday said it was examining the case against suspended Air India Managing Director Michael Mascarenhas who has been charged by the government of showing ''undue favours'' to the airline's General Sales Agent (GSA) in London, resulting in a loss of crores of Rupees to the national carrier in the midst of a severe resource crunch.
