Professor Anirudha Gupta retired as Director and Dean from the prestigious "School of International Studies", Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
During his distinguished academic career he had held academic positions in International Institutions both in India and abroad.
His books on "Politics in Nepal", "Non-Alignment", "Politics in Africa", "Personalities and Ideologies in Africa", "Dimensions of the Economic Crisis in Africa", "Indians Abroad", are extensively read and used in foreign policy.
Professor Gupta was arrested by the South African Government for promoting anti-Apartheid policies.
Professor Gupta has been a guide and teacher to many generations of University Post-Graduates and diplomats in the Indian Foreign Service.
