Former sandalwood smuggler and forest brigand Veerappan is back at his old game
of abduction again. Two years after the 108-day high drama of the kidnap and
release of venerated Kannada matinee idol Dr Rajkumar, Veerappan struck late on
August 25, 2002 night on the Karnataka-Tamil Nadu border to kidnap former
Karnataka minister H Nagappa. Even as the STF from both the states are combing
the forests to nab him, Veerappan in a daring act has taken away another victim.
