'Caste structure is splitting Indians'

While thanking Sarangadhara Sinha for apprehensively acknowledging the article "Why insult against Hindus doesn't attract outcry", I feel comfortable and more encouraging to unearth few more facts into lights.

We know that during the formation of Earth, there was only one huge block of land surrounded by sea. Then at one point of time due to aggressive nature, the seawater entered into the land and separated the massive land into so many pieces. The separated pieces of land are the continents that we see today.

There are people, animals, birds, trees, plants etc on these continents and are different from one another depending upon the climatic conditions. But see the peculiarity when other continents are unadulterated only the Indian sub-continent is adulterated by caste structure. Anything against mankind, according to me is nothing but adulteration.

India was known for it's abundant natural resources and wealth. Attracted by these, foreigners invaded India one after another and looted the country. Apart from these, India was also a breeding ground for many religions. For example, Buddhism took its birth in Indian soil and was adopted by many foreign countries.

Many foreign countries looted India, many countries adopted Indian born religion but not a single country on the earth was confident enough to test the Indian born caste structure in their soil. Because they knew how bad it is and what could be the repercussion once introduced.

Caste system is nothing but a structure of groups of people. There are mainly three groups and these groups are: privileged group, semi privileged group, and unprivileged group. Among these three groups semi privileged group is playing a vital role in caste system, as they think they are better than unprivileged group, by ignoring the facts that the privileged group treats all groups as unprivileged group.

The bad side of caste system is that, it doesn't encourage inter-caste marriages. The scientific proofs have shown us that cross-plantation in agriculture and cross breeding in animal husbandry have given remarkable result. If we view in this angle caste system has done a considerable damage to the nation by being a stumbling block to inter-caste marriage.

Next, by knowingly or unknowingly the caste system brain washed the minds of people and turned them in such a way, so as to love only their caste and hate other castes. This attitude is against the concept that we Indians are one.

How we are going to get rid of the unwanted caste system. It is pretty hard to root it out because it is well deep rooted. But nothing is impossible when we try sincerely. When compared to the past situation, it has lost a bit of ground at present. Most of the people in the new generation do not give much importance to caste and as a result they don't add the caste name after their names. Along with this, the well educated people and people from affluent society also don't consider caste as an important thing and thereby inter-caste marriages are taking place among them.

Only the middle and low-income groups are much worried about the caste. The worries of these groups are only because of circumstances. The middle-income group will give up caste once they become members of the affluent society. The low-income group will also follow, once they are educated well as illiteracy is more in the low-income group.

Now it is the politicians who actually stir up the caste system and religious matters. Sarangadhara Sinha has given an excellent outlook by quoting example of United States. It is with all these ups and downs of discrimination and allowing prejudice to take place in the society that we hold our culture into our breath.

If we don't really consider this culture seriously, then we can give up all resistance and follow the Westerners in terms of activities of clergy and politics.

But unfortunately, we are proud of our culture. So I'm sorry to say that we can't have two different liquids in one container. I whole-heartedly welcome the healthy presentation of Mr Sinha in the article "A look into the new Hindu society" with the facts and figures.
