Watching the gentlemen represent India on the cricket pitch made me wonder:
Half the team does not know to bat!!!
The other half are just the paper tigers or Royal Bengal Tigers at home.
Not a single Indian bowler can be termed as a match winner on a true cricket pitch. Of course they can be quite a handful in the underprepared pitches at home.
Spinners don't spin and pace bowlers(?) can neither beat the bat nor york batsmen.
We have fielders who drop catches as a habit. Misfields are a norm than an exception.
Cricketing common sense, cricketing responsibility, cricketing intelligence seems to be available at a premium in the team.
Cricketing plan & strategy seem non existent. Opposing batsmen who recently had retired or dropped after repeated dismal performances against our neighbours and other cricket teams, come out and slam centuries. Opposing bowlers who were thrashed to oblivion by other cricket team batsmen, become match winners against India.
The management and the board, manager, captain and the selection committee, the team is pathetic and the situation is hopeless. Congratulations for doing a magnificent job!!!
Did somebody say that the administrators and selection committee "are a bunch of jokers". Sorry I disagree. At least the jokers are the experts in their respective fields.
All associated with running Indian cricket and performing are cricketing novices and financial wizards.
We all know why tours are arranged and the bunch selected, "for all fees paid expensive holidays".
So gentlemen, enjoy the Caribbean holiday. But do not call it as Indian team. I object. Call it by any name: Dalmiya's Miya, Borde's Bunch, Ganguly's Gang, Wright's Brothers or whatever but not Indian team.
Indian cricket team should be only for the deserving cricketers please.
And wish you all the best for the World Cup(!!!) against Holland, Ireland and Hong Kong.
Keep it up!!!
