Our friend Mr Ramesh J Menon has written an article which rather than
discussing has expressed his own feelings towards Islam and has tried to
sparkle fire in Muslims minds without knowing ABCD of Islam. Let him or
others read and understand properly what Islam speaks.
The meaning of Islam is off course submission to God there is no doubt,
but I pity non-believers that they will never know till they die how much
peaceful he feels when he submits himself to God (Allah) unless he
understands what Islam is.
No wonder there are millions of believers in the world and by God's grace it
is spreading day by day when compared to hardly less than one per cent of
Hindu population only in one single country, who claim to be taking about
'kafir' and 'jihad'.
It is absolutely true that non-believers will definitely go to hell fire, and we
only believe in that and what is written in Quran and nobody on earth can
change it. We also believe that Allah is so merciful and generous that he
loves you equal to seventy times more than a mother loves her child,
therefore it is totally baseless to say that he is cruel.
Quran does not preach to hate non-believers, but it does not also allow us
to keep quite when atrocities are done only on basis of religion. It is always
non-Muslims, who initiate the problems everywhere, including the Godhra
incident where sources say the fire was initiated by the Hindus themselves.
This incident resulted in the deaths of hundreds of Muslims in such a cruel
manner; the perpetrators of that don't know what they have done is for their
own mothers and sisters and they are going to pay for it as no person is
spared in front of Allah for their wrong doings.
I don't understand why people fight on religious basis as every one has
right to live on their own beliefs. It is proved that Muslims do not care for
anyone in the world when it comes to 'jihad'. - Akbar
I am really surprised by what has been written by Ramesh J Menon. And I don't believe the writer has
any knowledge about Islam either. And neither of those people who have sent in
there views about this whole affair.
First of all I have no idea where the writer got to read these verses And I strongly
believe that writing such misleading articles is definitely not going to do any good for
the communal harmony that exists in India today.
Although I would agree that if such a feeling as what the author has written exists.
Then the VHP should discuss this with the Muslim clergies, who are well versed in
what exactly and in which context have these verses been dictated to mankind and I
believe this would sort out the matter fair and square. Instead of letting half wit
semi-clad authors go around discussing this matter in public and giving a complete
different dimension to the whole issue.
Now, coming to the issue that Hindus and other religious sects have been deprived
there rights in Pakistan. I am not too sure about this. But I would like to point out that
Pakistan is not the only Moslem country on the face of the Earth.
I don't believe any kind of discrimination happens to any Hindus or Christians in the
Gulf, Emirates or Qatar. They get the same money and food and respect that
Moslems or any other religious followers get.
Coming to the part where the VHP has made statements such as "The security
of the minority community lies in the goodwill of the majority", I believe these kind of
statements will further alienate both the communities.
I strongly believe that this organisation should be banned and these kind of
fundamentalists should be put where they belong .
Therefore I request the people in Indiainfo to also put up an article where the masses
could know that in what context these verses are written. So as to clear the confusion
prevailing in the minds of the majority community. - Rahman Khan
I have read the article on the Indiainfo site and strongly condemn it and
would like you to remove the article immediately from your site. You are not
doing any good but creating more tension and rift between Hindus and
Muslims of this country.
The article is baseless without any proper knowledge about the faith of
Islam. The author does not even know the meaning of 'Jihad' and should
understand it before writing such an article.
This is a very sensitive issue and I can go on lengths with this. I can give
you proper links and replies to this article, each and every word as a
challenge.
Without further delay, kindly remove this article. - Javed
I wish to bring to your kind notice that the Holy Quran has to be read
completely and its entirety to understand and interpret the message of
Allah. Interpretations of verses in isolation without reference to the context
are bound to be erroneous.
Case in point - in the Website referred for this article -

counters the points raised in the article.

It is a very good objective article that opens the eyes to many who are brainwashed by the media into believing that Hinduism, or VHP, is bad and violent. Now they see that Islam is the most intolerant religion around. - Alexandr Ruzicka, Badems, Germany
Request the Javed's and all other learned Muslim people to publish/ give relevant links to other readers about Islam, rather than just making claims.
Secondly, one should never ever forget the past, however sensitive a topic is, it is just to 'talk, discuss, and come to common understanding about them.
By 'Not being displaying an attitude of openness to share proper and relevant data', Mr Javed and et all, like minded people, do not help the cause.

The author Ramesh J Menon is correct in his assessment. The politicians are an
absolute corrupt lot to such an extent that they have turned cancerous. If a community
trusts harm as its culture, then, to turn a blind eye to such a culture as an
appeasement is a horrible things to do.
The minority must be made aware that the majority is a lot more mature that it really
is and its because of the majority benevolence that the minority can really exist as a
respected society.
If they need examples of majority dictation and sadism practice along with
intolerance, they can take a look at the neighbouring countries of Pakistan and
Bangladesh. Minorities are officially second class citizens in that country.
In both the countries, there has been a negative growth rate in population. The fact
that religious minded bigots in the minority community can afford to live a free and
decent life as an equal citizen is a majority culture and religious benevolence. This
must not be misused.
This article is a real good one. Hopefully, the minority understands it. - Seshadri

speak the truth in India. Minority should respect the majority.
People forget that what Muslims have done world over wherever they are in majority -
just crushed the minority. At least Hindus, RSS or VHP are better then Muslim

The only problem is that Hinduism also had such things. For example pouring hot oil into the ears of a 'dalit' if he ever listens to 'mantras' of Vedas or if he dares to utter a mantra kill him, and such barbaric acts
But one greatness of Hinduism is that it gave an opportunity to the people to reform the religion itself. It really did. So we have Gandhi who said untouchablity
was a sin and Raja Ram Mohan Roy who fought to get 'sati' abolished. That kind of flexibility does not exist in the religious of the books (Islam).
But I am surprised at the similarity of these Quran verses with the 'Vedas' or other doctrines of 'Advaita' philosophy where we are told specifically that God is one and all these small parts of gods (like Ganesh, Shiva, Durga, Vishnu, Brahma, who fight among themselves, marry, have kids just like humans do) are actually forms of ignorance, which do not necessarily get you true freedom or 'mukti'.
'Advaita' philosophy also says that those who can concentrate on one god are much
higher than these small gods who are themselves trapped in their worlds. So the Quran's Allah and Christianity's Yehovah and the Advaitic non-dual God are the same. But this is all out of question when we come to the question of who is to be stopped in this unending stupidity of religions. And I agree with the author that it's the Muslims.
I feel that they gave birth to BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) in India. The Muslims in India are the ones who brought BJP to power via the Ram Janam Bhoomi dispute with their uncompromising attitude. Because if they had just given it to the Hindus
no one, I repeat no one, would have voted the BJP to power.
The Ram Janam Bhoomi is like Mecca for the Hindus. If Hindus or Christians
build a temple or a church at Mecca or somewhere near it will the Muslims agree to it. Even if it takes 100 generations won't they fight for it. That's what Hindus are doing.
So we need articles of this type which give undecided mass a chance to know what the secular bandwagon is up to. - Ravi
