The basic need such as water (provided by rivers flowing through various
states) has to be nationalised and there has to be a national water sharing policy
they should not be left to the mercy of each state to decide whether to
release water to the other state or not.
Each state has a respectful position and there is no need for any state to be at the mercy of another forever begging for a natural resource. In such a situation national interest should take priority over each of the state interests.
