Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, who was to participate in the Cauvery River Authority (CRA)meeting, scheduled for the day in New Delhi, has cancelled her trip due to indisposition.

Official sources said the Chief Minister has instead deputed state Finance Minister C Ponnaiyan to attend the meeting on her behalf.

Even in the last CRA meeting held in September Jayalalithaa had stayed away.

Airport sources said the air tickets of the Chief Minister and five others who were to travel with her, were cancelled on November 29 morning.

However, the Pondicherry Chief Minister N Rengasamy left for Delhi by the morning flight.
