Godhra, the name that reminisces ugly scenes of a burnt train, half burnt human bodies, charred limbs and subsequent clashes that turned out to be uglier by any figment of human imagination. The year 2002 saw the worst of communal clashes in modern Indian history, perhaps, next only to those witnessed during the days of partition. Now, after almost 18 months, the independent Commission, set up to probe the reported excesses committed during the riot days, is hearing the cases on a day-to-day basis. Indiainfo.com has compiled stories of victims of both the communities relating their experiences to the panel as well as several depositions. This section is constantly updated to keep our browsers well informed.
