The Story So Far
It's been a sad day in the lives of the Kashmiri civilians for a long time now. Blood and death now throngs this 'paradise on earth'. This section makes an attempt to delineate the historical changes that have disrupted the lives of thousands of people in Kashmir. We will begin with the Agra summit and the kind of hopes it raised in the country. Kashmir drew the world's attention when our Indian PM, AB Vajpayee invited extended an invitation to Pakistani military ruler General Pervez Musharraf to the Summit talks. The only thrust of the seemingly positive efforts to improve bilateral relations was spelt clear in the word KASHMIR.
