London bomb blasts

London bomb blastsThirty-seven people were killed in four explosions that rocked London's Underground network and a double decker bus on July 7, 2005. (07/07). Around 700 people were injured in the incident.

A massive hunt was under way from July 8, 2005 for the bombers who wrought carnage on underground trains and blew up a double-decker bus.

A group calling itself the Organisation of Al-Qaeda Jihad in Europe claimed the attacks in London and threatened similar strikes in Italy, Denmark and other "Crusader" states with troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.
