The stand-off between Israel and Palestine is perhaps the longest one in the history of wars in modern times. The violence between the two nations has claimed thousands of lives over the years. Many peace negotiations have been brokered and failed. For various reasons, peace somehow has eluded these war-weary nations for over 35 years now.

With the recent Israeli attacks on Gaza and West Bank, tension in the Mid East has escalated. Despite peace calls from various countries including US, UN, EU and others, there seems to be no let up for this increasingly violence-prone conflict.

With the world under shadow of terror attacks, it becomes imperative that the Middle East crisis be solved as quickly and effectively as possible. Will peace ever return to the war torn region, will the senseless killing of innocent citizens end with the proposed Arab peace plan remains to be seen.
