Bhutto's sister backs PPP decision on leadership
Monday, December 31, 2007 23:22 [IST]

Larkana: The younger sister of assassinated former premier Benazir Bhutto today endorsed the Pakistan People's Party's decision to name Bhutto's son as the new chairman of the party and to contest the upcoming general election. Sanam Bhutto, who has always shunned politics and currently lives in London, backed the decisions that she said were made in accordance with her sister's will.

In a statement, she said: "I believe that the resolution of the issue of leadership in accordance with (Benazir Bhutto s) will has not only saved the party from a crisis of leadership but will also strengthen it further. "I have never been in active politics but like all of you. I have always been behind my sister's every political decision," the statement said.
